It was mustapha kemal's racism against kurds that has created this divide. Most turks followed the extreme racism of kemal but a kurd shiekh NURSI played a big role in the current Islamic revival in turkey in his book Risale-i Nur Collection. Many other resistance leader shiekh said led an unsuccessful counter revolution to kemal but failed. The kurds did every thing to fit in but nationalism racism created a big divide and now the kurds are follwoing the same path of those ethnic supremacists.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
