On March 19 Al Hurra reported that the ruling Coordination Framework got the pro-Iran Resistance to agree to a ceasefire. Since then violence has decidedly dropped off in the country.
On March 21 there were only two attacks by the Iranian side. The National intelligence Service headquarters in Baghdad was hit killing one officer. This was another direct attack upon the government. The irony is that the Resistance is part of the government as well with parliamentarians and ministries under its control. This might be the result of some Resistance factions being unhappy with Prime Minister Mohammed Sudani for arresting some members for carrying out attacks.
A drone was also shot down over the diplomatic support center at the Baghdad airport.
The Americans or Israelis were responsible for an airstrike upon the Turkmen 52nd Hashd Brigade in Tuz Kharmato in eastern Salahaddin.
