Iraq’s Communist Party Celebrates May Day 2013

Iraq’s Communist Party used to be one of the largest and most powerful in the country. Under the Baath it was mercilessly hunted down with much of its leadership assassinated. These are pictures of the Communist Party celebrating the event in Baghdad’s Firdos Square, May 1, 2013.
