Security In Iraq Oct 8-14, 2023

For the second week in a row there were no security incidents reported in Iraq. This is not only the third time in 2023 but the third time ever since 2003 that there was no insurgent violence in the country.

 

The Islamic State is almost dead in Iraq. It has lost its networks. It hasn’t been able to recruit in the country. Most importantly it has lost the ability to carry out consistent attacks. Its days of terrorizing the people has almost come to an end.
