Today is the six year anniversary of Musings On Iraq. What
started off as a point of interest in 2001 and then a hobby by 2002 has now
obviously become a passion of mine. Thank you to all the readers and especially
to all the people who have been willing to take to me about Iraq.

Incredible work. As someone who is deeply concerned about the people of Iraq, I come to this source almost daily in order to get a good understanding of the current situation. This blog is truly a product of passion and diligence.
Thanks,

thanks for the kind words of support.
I'm amazed that you have remained so dedicated and impartial to reporting on the development of Iraq for such a long period of time. I would think that the quality of your research would be of great interest to a very large and broad readership. I have to say the lack of opinion/discussion/influence is one of the primary reasons I do not read this blog regularly. I wonder if you can make blog into a more high profile news source/think tank on Iraq as I don't believe it is getting the attention it deserves.
Thank you for the comments. With the crisis in Iraq growing the number of hits the blog is receiving is up over 400%. Hopefully that will continue to grow. People who work at think tanks and deal with Iraq, and there are not that many of them left unfortunately know about my work I have talked with them. My interview with Aaron Zelin about ISIS's administration of territories in Syria and Iraq for example was posted on the Washington Institute for Near East Policy's webpage.
Congratulation Joel! MoI haw become one of the most informative sources of Iraq news and analysis anywhere.
