Is this what US special forces advising Maliki to do?!!! IF SO, US is knee deep in the blood of innocents; a party & collaborator in WAR CRIMES, and COMPLICIT in CRIMES AGAINST HUMANITY!
The Iraqi forces are using barrel bombs because of their own lack of strategy not because of the U.S.
Definitely because of the US. Full responsibility for all bloodshed in Iraq first falls on USA.
From the time the USA supported Saddam to gas thousands and invade Iran, Kuwait and now the sectarian war fuelled by Washington and Saudi Arabia.
USA is the worst human rights offender in history, through wars, proxy wars, sanctions and pursuit of hegemony.
And this claim is based upon what evidence? It seems like your blame America world view is going to lead you to this conclusion no matter what.
Why is Iraq using barrel bombs? Because they've lost control of large swaths of their territory and have no way of gaining it back. It is therefore considering everything under insurgent control a legitimate target and bombing it. That includes both militant and civilian targets. This trend has been seen since January 2014 when Fallujah fell and the ISF began indiscriminate shelling of that city. And that's JANUARY 2014 before the Obama administration sent in advisers in response to the JUNE insurgent offensive.
