            resign over opposition to his conscription plan for army
1972 Kurds started rebellion against govt with support of US, Iran, Israel
1999 Newsweek report Iraq and Al Qaeda had meetings
2003 UK naval task force left for Persian Gulf for Iraq invasion
2003 Rumsfeld and Joint Chiefs head Gen Myers met Saudi Amb to US Bandar to get
            Saudi support for invasion
2003 Amb Bandar told Rumsfeld and Gen Myers he needed Bush’s word to get Saudi
            support
2004 Ayatollah Sistani rejected CPA’s plans for transition to Iraqi sovereignty and
            constitution
2004 Blair told BBC he didn’t know whether he was wrong or not about Iraq’s
